Why is Molekule Air Mini Cheaper Than the Original Molekule Air Purifier?

Our mission is to provide clean air for any room, in every home, and the launch of Molekule Air Mini is the result of our continuation in this pursuit. Molekule Air Mini is designed for smaller rooms of up to 250 sq ft., offering Molekule’s breakthrough PECO technology at a lower price point of $399. Below, we cover how and why Molekule Air Mini is offered at a less expensive price than the original Molekule Air purifier.

How is the new Molekule Air Mini less expensive than the original Molekule Air?

The original Molekule Air, made for large rooms of up to 600 square feet, is available for $799. Conversely, Molekule Air Mini was designed for smaller spaces and is available for $399.

While designing both products, each feature and specification was carefully considered and integrated to deliver the cleanest air, while being quiet, energy-efficient and beautifully designed. Note that the same breakthrough PECO technology that powers Molekule Air also powers Molekule Air Mini. However, room size coverage, price and other details vary between the two products.

Here are some points to consider about the specification differences between Molekule Air Mini and Molekule Air, so you can look at the product beyond simply the price point differences:

  • Room size: As mentioned above, Molekule Air Mini is designed for small rooms of up to 250 sq. ft., ideal for spaces like studio apartments, kids’ bedrooms and home offices. Molekule Air is ideal for larger rooms of up to 600 sq. ft. like master bedrooms, living rooms and family rooms.
  • Materials: Molekule Air Mini has a housing material of medical-grade polycarbonate and contains a natural wool felt handle, while Molekule Air has a housing material of machined aluminum and a natural leather strap. Because we added efficiency into our production, the two products have different materials, which also contributed to the differences in price. Both of our products use advanced polishing, texturing and dyeing processes that reduce the use of paint VOCs in the process.
  • Filters: Molekule Air Mini has a single integrated PECO-Filter, while Molekule Air contains a dual-phase filtration system with a separate Pre-Filter and PECO-Filter inside the device. For both the Molekule Air Mini and Molekule Air, the filters work to remove and destroy pollutants like VOCs, bacteria, mold, viruses, and allergens without producing ozone or other harmful byproducts.
